To make the procedures for umrah performers easier, SDAIA prepares the technical infrastructure at the Kingdom's entry points.

After the Hajj season, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is striving to streamline the Umrah performers' entry procedure into the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Interior and other government agencies are working with all Saudi Arabian entry ports to get ready for the influx of Umrah performers from around the globe.

The SDAIA has provided for this in its effort to hasten the procedure for admitting Umrah performers by equipping the entry points in the Kingdom with biometric capture and registration stations, technical support, and primary and secondary communication circuitry.

Riyadh, June 22, 2024. Following the ending of the Hajj season, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority have strategized to facilitate easier entry into the Kingdom by Umrah performers. International umrah performers are slated to arrive at all access ports into the kingdom—by air, sea, and land.

This is being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and other related government agencies. The Saudi Defense and International Affairs Authority (SDAIA) is located at the entrances to Makkah, Madinah, the Eastern Region, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Najran, and the Jeddah Islamic Port. This has resulted in the provision of primary and secondary communication wiring to these entrance sites.

These departments are overseen by the SDAIA's national experts, who are experts in computers and other relevant technical gadgets. Additionally, the SDAIA offers technical and logistical assistance around the clock, performs preventative maintenance on data rooms, network equipment, and workstations, and activates the traveler system, which reduces the amount of time it takes to transfer the data of Umrah performers and streamlines the manner in which they are admitted. In addition to this, the SDAIA constructed and deployed biometric capture and registration stations at the Kingdom's entry points. These stations were also programmed with the SDAIA version that was approved. It has also built mobile kits that are equipped with biometric registration technology and backup systems to ensure uninterrupted operations at the Kingdom's entry points. This makes it possible for Umrah performers to enter the Kingdom during the entire year.
