Riyadh, January 27, 2025 – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival 2025 is set to commence tomorrow at the iconic Al-Janadriyah Square in Riyadh. Organized by the Saudi Camel Federation, this highly anticipated event brings together participants from 15 countries, competing for a staggering total prize pool exceeding SAR 70 million. This year's festival marks the second edition of the event and promises to be a remarkable showcase of Saudi Arabia's rich cultural heritage and dedication to the sport of camel racing.
The festival's extensive program features an impressive 225 races, meticulously categorized and accredited by the Saudi Camel Federation. Spanning a cumulative distance of 1,266 kilometers, these races will highlight the endurance, speed, and agility of the competing camels. The event will kick off with the Haqayeq category races, comprising 64 individual races over a combined distance of 256 kilometers, with each race covering 4 kilometers. This category is expected to set the tone for an exhilarating series of competitions.
