Washington, April 4, 2025 – Several tornadoes struck vast areas of the central and southern United States, causing significant damage to homes, power lines, and trees.


The National Weather Service reported at least 15 tornadoes across four states by Wednesday evening, with local authorities confirming that eight people were injured in Kentucky and Arkansas, one of whom is in critical condition.


Warnings for floods and tornadoes were issued for parts of Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, with the risks continuing into early Thursday morning, and severe storms expected to affect the country for several days.
