Tourism Minister Inspects Radisson Blu Hotel Project Site in Al-Ahsa

Managed by the global brand Radisson Blu, the project is supported by the Tourism Development Fund (TDF) and is part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to enhance tourism and support Vision 2030 objectives.
Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb visited Al-Ahsa to inspect the ongoing construction of the Radisson Blu Hotel, a key project under the Saudi Winter Season initiative, which runs until Q1 2025.

Al-Ahsa, November 29, 2024 – Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, the Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Tourism Development Fund (TDF), recently visited Al-Ahsa Governorate to inspect the ongoing construction of the Radisson Blu Hotel project. This visit forms part of his broader tour to monitor key developments under the Saudi Winter Season initiative, which started in early October and will run until the end of the first quarter of 2025.


During his visit, Minister Al-Khateeb thoroughly examined the site of the Radisson Blu Hotel, a prominent addition to the Kingdom's expanding tourism infrastructure. As one of the key destinations for Saudi Winter Season visitors, the hotel project is poised to play a central role in boosting local tourism and enhancing the region’s appeal to both domestic and international travelers. Al-Khateeb was joined by a delegation of officials, and together they reviewed the hotel's detailed construction plans and designs. They also met with the project’s management team to discuss its progress, ensuring the development aligns with the Kingdom’s strategic tourism goals.


The Radisson Blu Hotel, located in Al-Ahsa, is being developed with the support of the Tourism Development Fund (TDF). This flagship project is set to offer a wide range of facilities, including over 182 guest rooms, as well as spaces designated for retail stores, making it a vibrant addition to the area. With a project value of SAR 211 million, the hotel will span more than 10,000 square meters, providing a significant boost to the region’s hospitality sector. The hotel will be operated and managed by the renowned global hotel brand Radisson Blu, ensuring a high standard of service and hospitality.


This hotel is a key component of the Kingdom’s broader vision to promote tourism, align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and elevate destinations throughout Saudi Arabia, including Al-Ahsa. By hosting world-class developments like this one, Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a major tourism hub, with new attractions and accommodations designed to cater to the growing demand from visitors across the globe.
