Transporting non-holders of a hajj permit results in administrative punishment for eight violators of the regulations


The Ministry of the Interior penalized eight individuals for disobeying Hajj norms and directions, including the rule of no Hajj without a permit.



The Hajj Security Forces apprehended 28 individuals without Hajj permission and made arrests at the entrances of Makkah.



Those found in violation of Hajj regulations will face a fifteen-day prison term, a fine, and a ban from re-entering the Kingdom.



June 5, 2024: The Ministry of Interior issued the following statement today, immediately sanctioning eight people who violated the norms and directions of Hajj, including "no Hajj without a permit", adding that the Hajj Security Forces arrested three residents and five citizens at the entrances of Makkah for smuggling 28 people who did not have a permit to enter the holy sites. The seasonal administrative committees of the General Directorate of Passports issued administrative judgments against them and imposed a prison term of 15 days for each carrier and a fine of ten thousand riyals for the number of violators transported. In addition, their names shall be published, and the expatriate carriers shall be prevented from re-entering the Kingdom in the legally prescribed period following the execution of the sentence. The judicial process shall result in the confiscation of the three automobiles used for group transportation. For the guests of Allah to complete their rituals in a safe, secure, comfortable, and reassuring manner, the Ministry of Interior has called on all citizens and expatriates to adhere to the standards and guidelines of Hajj.
