Tunisia, Saudi Arabia Sign Executive Program for Youth and Sports

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tunisia signed a two-year executive program for cooperation in youth and sports for 2025-2026, aiming to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two nations.

Tunis, October 31, 2024 – In a significant step to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing in the realm of youth and sports, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tunisia have solidified their cooperative ties by signing an executive program covering the years 2025-2026. The agreement was formalized in an official signing ceremony held at the Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sports headquarters in Tunis.


The executive program was signed by Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Massad, representing the Minister of Sport, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal. The Tunisian side was represented by the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Chokri Ben Hassen. Also in attendance were the Tunisian Minister of Youth and Sports, Sadok Mourali, and the Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, underscoring the significance of this international partnership.


This two-year cooperative program reflects the historic and fraternal bonds between Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, with a particular focus on enriching their mutual expertise in youth and sports development. Key objectives of the initiative include fostering exchange visits between youth and sports leaders and delegations, supporting bilateral cooperation across various related fields, and sharing successful programs from each nation’s sports federations, youth administration bodies, and sports committees.


Moreover, the agreement will facilitate coordinated efforts in developing training programs and workshops, particularly in sports media, while promoting joint participation in conferences and scientific symposiums. Through these collaborative projects, both nations aspire to broaden their perspectives on youth engagement and sports promotion, enhancing the capabilities of youth organizations and fostering a deeper exchange of skills, ideas, and innovations.


This agreement is a strategic component of Saudi Arabia’s broader ambition to build international partnerships, expanding the Ministry of Sport’s cooperative footprint with various global entities. By reinforcing its relationship with the Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sports, Saudi Arabia is poised to continue its commitment to enhancing youth and sports initiatives on a global scale, further strengthening the bonds of camaraderie and shared aspirations between these two brotherly nations.
