Turkish Ministers Kacir, Gorgun meet with Al-Khorayef privately

Ankara, August 29, 2023, In the Turkish capital of Ankara, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir and President of the Defense Industry Agency (SSB), Professor Haluk Gorgun, met privately with Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef. They addressed ways to improve cooperation between diverse fields throughout the discussions. Al-Khorayef highlighted the depth of the ties that exist between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkiye while expressing a desire to broaden their scope. Al-Khorayef stated that this would entail improving cooperation in the mining and industrial sectors as well as taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the Saudi Vision 2030. He continued by saying that this is consistent with the goals of economic diversification, where industry and mining play a key role in attaining these objectives, as well as the benefits and potential offered to investors by the ministry. Al-Khorayef stated that the National Industry Strategy (NIS), which offers a variety of investment opportunities spanning twelve industrial sectors, has made it easier for the private sectors of both countries to establish high-quality partnerships. This is especially true for the industrial and mining sectors. According to him, Turkish investors may gain a lot from these chances, work together to share their experiences, and localize innovations within the Kingdom. The sessions included a thorough examination of investment potential across numerous crucial sectors, including the production of food and pharmaceuticals as well as the defense industry, as well as a full overview of the objectives specified in the NIS. They also talked about improving the availability of non-oil exports between the two nations.
