The Turkish-Saudi Investment and Business Forum commenced today in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, graced by the presence of prominent figures including Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Simsek, and Head of Turkish Investment Office Ahmet Burak Daglioglu. The event also saw active participation from various government officials and representatives from the private sectors of both nations.
Key discussions during the session of the Saudi-Turkish Ministerial Committee revolved around enhancing cooperation across economic, trade, investment, and tourism domains. Participants delved into exploring promising investment avenues between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as assessing the respective business environments.
A highlight of the forum was the signing of 28 memoranda of understanding (MOUs), indicative of the robust collaboration between the two nations. Notably, the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance inked an MoU, signaling mutual commitment to furthering developmental initiatives. Furthermore, the Ministry of Investment forged two MOUs with the private sector, spanning areas such as human capital, innovation, tourism, and quality of life. The Turkish and Saudi private sectors also sealed 22 MOUs encompassing diverse sectors including construction, real estate, manufacturing, hospitality, vocational training, financial services, logistics, and information and communication technology, underscoring the breadth and depth of bilateral cooperation.
