ADEN, 4 June 2024. The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen made an announcement today, in the framework of the health sector in Yemen, for the start of two more development projects. One of the projects lays the basis for the construction and furnishing of a rehabilitation center for challenged children in the Aden Governorate. This center will assist 7,840 people in a direct and indirect capacity. The second initiative, which distributes emergency and urgent medical care during times of crisis, includes governorates in Yemen such as Aden, Lahij, Abyan, Taiz, Shabwah, and Al-Dhale. As part of its commitment to complete sustainable development programs and initiatives, the SDRPY has constructed and outfitted a rehabilitation facility for children who have disabilities. This is part of the organization's attempts to serve a wide range of societal segments.

In addition, the project calls for the delivery of fifteen ambulances in order to enhance the capabilities of hospitals and centers located within Yemen's governorates, as well as to increase the overall strength of the health sector. The rehabilitation center for children works toward the goal of facilitating the appropriate integration of challenged children into society by providing treatment and rehabilitation services as well as activities aimed at enhancing the mental, cognitive, and motor skills of impaired children.
