Riyadh, September 29, 2024 – Two distinguished Iraqi intellectuals, participating in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, have emphasized the significance of the event in fostering connections between intellectuals and writers from across the Arab world and beyond. Organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Authority, the fair serves as an essential platform for promoting Arab culture on a global stage, extending far beyond Saudi Arabia’s borders.
Abdullah Ibrahim, a specialist in critical Arab studies, highlighted the Riyadh International Book Fair as one of Saudi Arabia's most prominent cultural landmarks. He noted that the fair plays a crucial role in redefining the Kingdom’s cultural identity and rediscovering its rich heritage through an array of engaging cultural events. The Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, which opened on September 26, continues to draw visitors with its extensive program of events. The fair is set to run until October 5, welcoming guests daily from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, with the exception of Fridays, when it opens from 2:00 p.m. onward.
