Türkiye Health Undersecretary meets KSrelief medical team aiding earthquake victims

Gaziantep, March 22, 2024, Today, Baitullah Sahin, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the Republic of Türkiye, convened with the medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), actively engaged in a volunteer medical project specializing in plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, burns, and deformities for individuals affected by earthquakes in Türkiye.

The meeting, attended by Gaziantep Director of Health Ümit Aslan, provided an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the volunteer campaign. Notably, the team has treated 2,162 patients across various medical specialties including surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology, pediatrics, and family medicine. Additionally, they successfully conducted 226 plastic and reconstructive surgeries and 51 urological and reproductive tract surgeries.

Sahin expressed gratitude by presenting an honorary plaque to the volunteer medical team, acknowledging their tireless efforts in providing critical medical assistance.

This campaign serves as an extension of the Kingdom's ongoing volunteer medical initiatives, administered through the center, aimed at delivering healthcare services to patients and injured individuals with limited financial means in countries with close fraternal ties.
