U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin hosts Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid

Washington, November 01, 2023, The U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, welcomed Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defense, in a high-profile meeting held at the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters in Washington. This gathering is a key component of Prince Khalid's official visit to the United States.


Upon his arrival at the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters, Prince Khalid received a formal reception marked by a guard of honor and the playing of both nations' national anthems. Subsequently, Prince Khalid penned a statement in the official visitors' book to commemorate the occasion.


The two defense ministers engaged in official talks during which they revisited the longstanding and robust friendship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States.
