U.S.-Saudi Business Council Concludes West Coast Tour to Foster Economic Collaboration

The U.S.-Saudi Business Council has successfully concluded its series of tours and activities on the west coast of the United States, aimed at advancing discussions on the current market landscape in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the tours focused on bolstering foreign direct investment, driving manufacturing growth, promoting localization, and facilitating knowledge transfer. The council commenced its engagements with a meeting with Vice President David Callahan and directors of economic research at Greater Portland Inc. and Business Oregon. Discussions centered on exploring export and trade opportunities for American companies within the Saudi market. In another tour segment, the council's team engaged with representatives from Business Oregon, OMIC R&D, and Powin Energy, delving into potential collaboration opportunities. The tour's final stop included a roundtable for Washington state-based companies, conducted in partnership with the Washington State Department of Commerce. This session provided an invaluable opportunity for U.S. companies specializing in healthcare technology, biotechnology, biomedicine, and international trade to gain insights into relevant opportunities within the Saudi economy in their respective fields. The comprehensive tour has served to strengthen economic ties and foster collaborative ventures between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.
