'Umrah and Ziyarah Forum' in Madinah ends, Ministry collaborates with Program

Madinah, April 25, 2024, The inaugural edition of the 'Umrah and Ziyarah Forum' concluded in Madinah, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Program. The three-day event brought together a diverse range of local and international entities from the Umrah and visitation industry.

The primary objective of the forum was to facilitate meaningful discussions and promote innovative solutions for enhancing the experiences of Umrah performers and visitors. Through interactive sessions such as dialogues, panel discussions, workshops, and an exhibition, participants gained insights into the latest advancements and sustainable practices in the sector.

Key topics addressed during the forum included challenges and opportunities in hosting visitors to the holy mosques, development of new services and products for Umrah and visitation, fostering partnerships, and building sustainable relationships among industry stakeholders. The event also aimed to strengthen local and international connections to offer integrated solutions for the Umrah and visitation industry.

Attendees at the forum comprised various stakeholders, including entities, companies, and institutions related to the Umrah sector, entrepreneurs, heads of service provider companies, experts, decision-makers, non-profit institutions, and representatives from local and international Umrah service providers. The event also attracted significant coverage from local and international media outlets.

Highlighted activities at the forum included six panel discussions and 24 workshops covering six main themes and 18 subtopics. The participation of 29 speakers, comprising experts and specialists, enriched the discussions and insights shared during the event.

Moreover, the forum featured several competitions, including the 'Artificial Intelligence in Umrah Competition', the 'Labbitom' award for digital solutions development, and the 'Historical and Enrichment Sites Hackathon' focusing on promoting Islamic identity and awareness of the Prophet's biography.

Overall, the 'Umrah and Ziyarah Forum' served as a valuable platform for collaboration, learning, and innovation within the Umrah and visitation industry, paving the way for continuous advancements and improvements in the pilgrimage experience.
