UN Independent Expert on Human Rights of Older Persons, Claudia Mahler, visited Saudi Arabia between April 20 and 30, 2025. Her mission included extensive field visits to cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Buraidah, Al-Baha, and other towns and villages. She was officially invited by the Kingdom under the Special Procedures of the UN Human Rights Council.
