United States Secretary of State Calls Saudi Foreign Minister


- Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah was informed of US President Joe Biden's ideas on the Gaza Strip, including a proposal for a hostage exchange, by Mr. Antony Blinken, American Secretary of State


- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that the Kingdom stands ready to support an immediate, complete cease-fire, the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, the provision of emergency humanitarian aid to the affected citizens, and the safe return of all displaced persons to their homes.


- The minister stressed the significance of taking into account options that would result in a sustained truce and lessen the suffering of the Gaza-based Palestinian population.



Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, was called by Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, to inform him about the recent proposal made by the US President Joe Biden concerning the situation in the Gaza Strip, the agreement with regards to hostages' swap, and the on-coming stages. The mayor of the town stated, "The safety of the citizen remains our primary concernolicitudes about citizens prevail above all other things." said the city's mayor.


The Minister went on to say that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in favor of any measures that result in an instant ceasefire, the full evacuation of Israeli occupation forces, the prompt provision of humanitarian aid to people impacted by the Israeli escalation, and the safe repatriation of those who have been displaced to their homes.


He went on to stress how crucial it was to seriously consider any alternative that would actually guarantee the continuation of the truce and lessen the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
