Arafat opened on June 16, 2024 outside of Makkah. The Public Transport Authority, in collaboration with the Royal Commission for the Holy City of Makkah and the Holy Sites, has found fourteen public transport-accessible sites in Makkah and the Holy Sites to assist pilgrims in 1445.

The administration asserts that over 5,000 taxis are available at these locations, equipped with various payment methods, journey tracking services, and electronic countering to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims. The parking lots at King Abdulaziz Gate, Kudai, Sayyida Aisha Mosque, Gaza 1, 2, and 3, Aziziyah, East Jamarat, Hajj Road, and Ibrahim Al-Khalil are some of the locations that fall under this category. Furthermore, there are taxi booths located in close proximity to King Faisal Hospital and Muzdalifah Station 3.
