Dhaka, May 12, 2024, The Vice Minister of Interior, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood, conducted an inspection of the designated terminal for the Makkah Route Initiative at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh, Issa bin Youssef Al-Duhailan, Dr. Al-Dawood assessed the readiness of the terminal and reviewed the operational procedures carried out by both Saudi and Bangladeshi authorities to facilitate the Hajj journey efficiently.
Dr. Al-Dawood commended the Makkah Route Initiative team for their dedicated services to pilgrims.
The initiative, a part of the Ministry of Interior's Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, is now in its sixth year of implementation. It is conducted in collaboration with various ministries and authorities, including Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, Media, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and the Pilgrim Experience Program.
