RIYADH, April 4, 2025 – The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language has officially closed submissions for scientific papers for its fourth annual international conference, scheduled for mid-October in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency on Thursday.

Under the patronage of Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the event will bring together experts, linguistic academies, and organizations from over 20 countries.

The two-day conference, themed “The Global Lexicography Industry: Experiences, Efforts, and Prospects,” continues the academy’s mission to advance Arabic language research.

Abdullah Al-Washmi, secretary-general of the academy, stated that the conference would aim to strengthen collaboration between the academy and linguistic institutions globally.

It will offer a platform for experts to share insights, review successful lexicography initiatives, and explore opportunities to modernize dictionary development using emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.

The conference will also spotlight important Arabic and international projects while promoting knowledge exchange among linguists, language academies, and technology experts."
