WAMY Opens Development Center Serving Over 4,000 People in Senegal


The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has inaugurated the Umm Salama Center in the Fatick Region of Senegal, 260 kilometers from Dakar.


The center will serve over 4,000 people and includes a mosque, a school with six classrooms, and several shops.


This initiative aims to provide essential services and support, contributing to the community's educational, religious, and economic needs.


On August 27, 2024, in Riyadh, it was announced that the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has proudly inaugurated the Umm Salama Center in the Fatick Region of Senegal. Situated approximately 260 kilometers from the capital city of Dakar, this new center is poised to make a significant impact on the local community.



The Umm Salama Center has been established with the goal of providing essential services and support to the residents of this region. The facility is designed to cater to the needs of more than 4,000 people, offering a range of valuable resources. Among its key features are a mosque, which will serve as a place of worship and community gathering, and a school that includes six classrooms, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for local children.



Additionally, the center will host several shops, contributing to the economic development of the area by providing access to necessary goods and services. This initiative by WAMY reflects a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals in the Fatick Region and supporting the broader objectives of community development and well-being.
