WAMY Sends a Medical Convoy to Guinea for Surgery

Saudi Ambassador to Guinea, Dr. Fahd bin Eid Al-Rashidi, inaugurated a medical convoy in Conakry, organized by WAMY in collaboration with the Saudi Embassy and the Guinean Ministry of Defense.

Conakry, January 22, 2025 – Dr. Fahd bin Eid Al-Rashidi, the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, officially inaugurated a medical convoy organized by the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in partnership with the Saudi Embassy in Guinea and the Guinean Ministry of Defense. The event, held in Conakry, was attended by a number of high-ranking officials, healthcare professionals, and media representatives, marking a significant moment in the ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services in Guinea.


The nine-day medical program will feature a team of skilled surgeons from Saudi Arabia and various other countries, who will provide surgical services across a wide range of specialties. This initiative aims to offer much-needed medical assistance to the Guinean population, especially in underserved areas where access to healthcare is limited. The medical convoy is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian mission to support healthcare initiatives in friendly and brotherly countries, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to global welfare.


Ambassador Al-Rashidi emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, continues to extend its humanitarian efforts to improve the well-being of people in countries around the world. He reiterated that this medical convoy is a testament to the Kingdom’s dedication to helping communities in need and enhancing healthcare infrastructure in Guinea.


The program has been met with deep gratitude from the beneficiaries, many of whom expressed their heartfelt thanks for the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They also offered prayers for the continued security and prosperity of the Kingdom, recognizing the positive impact of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian initiatives on the lives of countless individuals in Guinea.
