Riyadh, September 8, 2024 — The National Center for Meteorology has released a detailed weather forecast indicating significant meteorological activity across various regions of Saudi Arabia. According to the latest update, dust-stirring winds are anticipated, potentially causing reduced visibility and impacting outdoor conditions. Alongside these winds, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected, with the possibility of hail, particularly in the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah.

In addition to the rainfall, thunderclouds are likely to develop over several other areas, including Najran, Madinah, Hail, Qassim, and Riyadh. These thunderclouds may bring localized thunderstorms and further impact weather conditions throughout these regions.

Fog formation is anticipated late at night and during the early morning hours, especially in Jazan and Aseer. This fog may lead to decreased visibility, which could affect travel and outdoor activities during these times.

The forecast also covers marine conditions. On the Red Sea, winds will predominantly be westerly to northwesterly, varying in speed from 15-35 km/h in the northern and central parts, and increasing to 20-60 km/h in the southern part. The sea conditions will be choppy with wave heights ranging from one to three meters, necessitating caution for maritime activities.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will shift from northerly to northeasterly, gradually changing to southeasterly at speeds between 10-30 km/h. The sea will remain relatively calm, with waves reaching up to one meter. These conditions suggest a more stable environment compared to the Red Sea.

This comprehensive weather update underscores the importance of staying informed about changing weather conditions, particularly for those in affected areas and those planning activities outdoors or at sea.
