However, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 declined by 0.1% to settle at 7,695.80, contrasting with Korea's Kospi index, which surged by 1.3% to reach 2,690.48.
In commodity markets, U.S. benchmark crude oil lost 28 cents, trading at $82.45 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude, the international standard, shed 20 cents to settle at $87.18 per barrel.
Regarding currency trading, the dollar strengthened against the yen, rising to 151.46 yen from 150.87 yen. Meanwhile, the euro edged up slightly, costing $1.0869 compared to $1.0865 previously. These fluctuations reflect the ongoing dynamics and factors influencing global financial markets.
