Riyadh, March 2, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a significant cooperation agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) aimed at supporting Sudanese kidney failure patients receiving treatment in Egypt. The agreement, which carries a total value of $3.7 million, was finalized on Thursday during the 4th Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum.
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to international humanitarian efforts, particularly in addressing chronic health conditions that disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. The partnership between KSrelief and WHO seeks to provide essential medical support to Sudanese patients who have been impacted by kidney failure and are currently undergoing treatment in Egypt, a critical step in ensuring that they receive the care and assistance they urgently need.
The agreement reflects Saudi Arabia's broader goal of contributing to global health and humanitarian relief, particularly in regions experiencing humanitarian crises. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom continues to strengthen its support for international organizations that are working to mitigate the spread of chronic diseases and improve healthcare access for underserved populations worldwide.
By aligning with the WHO, KSrelief reinforces Saudi Arabia's role as a leader in global humanitarian aid, focusing on health interventions that can make a lasting impact. This agreement is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to provide critical support and relief, helping to improve the lives of those affected by both short-term and long-term health challenges.
