Riyadh, October 02, 2023, With the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) and NEOM signed a memorandum of intent to establish initiatives to support intellectual property, innovation, and creativity, as well as to investigate the possibility of cooperation between the three parties. Daren Tang, the director general of the WIPO; Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Swailem, the CEO of SAIP; and Eng. Attending the signing event was Nadhmi Al-Nasr. According to Al-Swailem, the letter of intent complements the partnerships SAIP hopes to form, is a result of SAIP's understanding of the value of empowerment and development in the area of intellectual property, and aims to increase efforts that help achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
