The General Directorate of Border Guards is responsible for planning and regulating pedestrian Hajj pilgrims in Mina.

The General Directorate of Border Guards is in charge of organizing and supervising Hajj pilgrims who walk in Mina.


In the emergency plan is part of assuring the pilgrims' safe passage and well-being in Mina throughout the 1445 AH Hajj season.


The directorate’s central aim is a commitment to ensuring that pilgrims are secure and are accorded with humanitarian aid by utilizing human as well as technical assistance.



Makkah, June 13, 2024. It is the responsibility of the General Directorate of Border Guards to plan and regulate the large numbers of pedestrian Hajj pilgrims in Mina. The broader emergency plan encompasses this responsibility. Border guards, together with Hajj security personnel, are responsible for ensuring the smooth passage and safety of pilgrims in Mina during the 1445 AH Hajj season. This responsibility falls within the purview of border guards. In order to provide pilgrims with security and humanitarian aid, the directorate restated its commitment to utilizing both human and technological resources. This will ensure that pilgrims are able to maintain their mental and physical well-being.
