Dammam, November 10, 2024 – The Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) is set to host the eighth edition of the Women's Economic Forum on November 19-20 in Dammam, under the esteemed patronage of the Governor of the Eastern Region, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. This year’s forum, themed "Empowering Effective Leadership," is expected to draw prominent business leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates dedicated to enhancing Saudi women’s role in the economy.
The forum aims to cultivate a dynamic environment for investment in small projects, encouraging Saudi women to embrace entrepreneurial opportunities and innovative business ventures. By fostering this spirit of investment, the forum seeks to enable women-led enterprises and identify actionable funding mechanisms to support small businesses. These efforts are especially aligned with the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which has emphasized increasing women’s participation in the workforce and promoting leadership across sectors.
Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza, Chairman of the ECCI Board of Directors, highlighted that Saudi women’s leadership has become a cornerstone of the country’s ambitious transformation across scientific, cultural, and economic domains. Al-Rizaiza noted that initiatives like the Women's Economic Forum are instrumental in supporting this progress, as they provide a platform for Saudi women to showcase their leadership capabilities and accelerate their contributions to the national economy.
This year’s forum will delve into strategies and tools that empower women leaders to advance their entrepreneurial initiatives, focusing on sustainable funding, skill development, and innovative business models. By creating a collaborative space for knowledge exchange, the Women's Economic Forum reinforces its commitment to empowering Saudi women as they continue to shape the economic future of the Kingdom.
