World Combat Games prepare for Middle East's first-ever competition

Riyadh, August 21, 2023, The World Combat Games Organizing Committee is diligently pressing forward with their preparations for the highly anticipated competition, which is poised to make history, as it takes place in the Middle East for the very first time. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to occur from October 20 to 30, captivating sports enthusiasts at the esteemed King Saud University Arena Sports Stadiums. In a bid to ensure meticulous preparations, the committee has ramped up its efforts to unprecedented levels. Task forces have been diligently assigned their specific roles and are effectively coordinating their efforts in a timely manner. Saudi personnel have demonstrated their exceptional organizational skills by successfully orchestrating major events that have captured worldwide attention and showcased the immense potential of the Kingdom. In a grand spectacle that will unfold over a span of 11 days, the prestigious City Sports Complex stadiums at King Saud University in Riyadh have been chosen as the esteemed host venue for the highly anticipated World Combat Games, aptly named „Riyadh 2023". More than 2,500 athletes and administrative personnel from über 80 countries are set to participate in the upcoming competition. In a display of global athleticism, competitors hailing from various corners of the world are set to exhibit their prowess in a grand total of 16 combat disciplines. These thrilling games encompass a wide range of martial arts, including aikido, boxing, judo, ju-jitsu, karate, kendo, arm-wrestling, kickboxing, muaythai, sambo, savate, sumo, taekwondo, wrestling, wushu, and fencing.
