Riyadh, March 22, 2025 – The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) and the Riyadh Metro, under the supervision of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, have partnered to celebrate Saudi Founding Day with a vibrant display of traditional arts.
From February 21 to 24, Riyadh Metro stations have been transformed into cultural spaces featuring live demonstrations, special giveaways, and insights into the iconic Saudi bisht, the traditional men’s cloak.
To further engage the public, more than a thousand handmade bracelets, inspired by the unique patterns of the Al-Hasawi bisht, are being distributed at six major metro stations: KAFD Station, National Museum Station, STC Station, Ministry of Education Station, SABIC Station, and Al Naseem Station.
As a key advocate for national identity, Wrth is committed to preserving and promoting traditional arts both locally and globally. The institute actively supports artisans, fosters talent, and encourages the development of traditional crafts.
Through this collaboration, Wrth and Riyadh Metro offer passengers a unique and immersive Founding Day experience, strengthening their connection to the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
