Yemen's Al-Ja'dah Healthcare Center Continues to Provide Treatment with KSrelief's Assistance

The Al-Ja’dah Health Center in Yemen's Hajjah Governorate, supported by KSrelief, provided comprehensive healthcare services to 96,184 individuals, including internal medicine, pediatrics, and emergency care from August 21 to 27, 2024.

Hajjah, Yemen, December 28, 2024 — The Al-Ja’dah Health Center in the Midi District of Yemen’s Hajjah Governorate continued its critical medical operations from August 21 to 27, with the generous support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). This ongoing initiative reflects KSrelief’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare services in Yemen, particularly in areas severely impacted by the ongoing conflict.

During this period, the Al-Ja’dah Health Center successfully provided comprehensive healthcare services to a total of 96,184 individuals. The center's medical offerings spanned a wide range of specialties, including internal medicine, reproductive health, pediatrics, treatment of communicable diseases, and emergency medical care. In addition to offering primary medical services, the center played a pivotal role in treating injuries and referring patients with complex medical conditions to specialized facilities for further care.

In line with its mission to strengthen Yemen’s healthcare infrastructure, KSrelief’s support also ensured the availability of essential medical supplies and equipment. The center secured medicines, laboratory reagents, medical consumables, and non-medical supplies, benefiting 60,823 individuals across the region. These supplies were crucial in meeting the immediate health needs of the local population, many of whom are suffering due to the challenging circumstances in the region.

The center also focused on the critical issue of malnutrition among children, a common problem in conflict zones. As part of its efforts, 123 malnourished children received life-saving treatment, addressing their nutritional needs and providing them with the care necessary for recovery. Additionally, 451 children were vaccinated according to Yemen’s national immunization schedule, helping to prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases in the region.

The health data collected throughout the month was meticulously shared with Yemen’s Ministry of Health, ensuring transparency and facilitating coordinated efforts to address the country’s healthcare needs. This collaboration between KSrelief and local health authorities is vital for creating sustainable healthcare solutions in Yemen.

KSrelief’s ongoing support for the Al-Ja’dah Health Center is a part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian mission to provide comprehensive health services to the people of Yemen. These efforts are part of the Kingdom’s commitment to improving the medical sector in Yemen, treating the sick and injured, and enhancing the overall healthcare system to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Through these initiatives, KSrelief continues to demonstrate its dedication to the well-being of Yemen’s population, working tirelessly to improve the accessibility and quality of medical care in the region. This humanitarian assistance not only addresses immediate health needs but also contributes to the long-term development of Yemen’s healthcare infrastructure, which is essential for ensuring the future well-being of its people.
