On December 21, 2024, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), marked a significant humanitarian achievement in Yemen’s Marib governorate. In a powerful display of compassion, KSrelief provided artificial limbs to 3,996 individuals, offering them not just medical assistance, but renewed hope for a better life. This initiative is part of the ninth phase of the ongoing project to operate the Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Yemen, a key component of the Kingdom's sustained efforts to mitigate the suffering caused by Yemen’s prolonged humanitarian crisis.
The program is designed to assist individuals who have lost their limbs due to the devastating impact of war and accidents. By providing prosthetic limbs, KSrelief is helping to restore mobility, independence, and dignity to thousands of Yemenis who have been physically and emotionally affected by the ongoing conflict. The beneficiaries, many of whom have faced immense hardships, expressed their deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this timely and life-changing aid, which has alleviated their pain and given them the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
This project is part of a broader series of medical and rehabilitation efforts by KSrelief, aimed at addressing the medical needs of those affected by the humanitarian crisis across Yemen. The Kingdom's commitment to supporting the Yemeni people through such programs reflects its dedication to alleviating human suffering and fostering recovery in the war-torn country. Through this initiative, Saudi Arabia continues to stand by its neighbors in times of need, reaffirming its position as a leader in global humanitarian assistance.
