Zain KSA partners with Al Yamamah University to empower Saudi youth digitally

Zain KSA, in line with its commitment to digitally empower Saudi Arabia's youth and advance the national telecommunications and digital services sector with local talent, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Al Yamamah University. This partnership aims to collaborate on enhancing digital skills and providing on-the-job training opportunities. The MoU signing took place during Zain KSA's participation in the third edition of LEAP24, held in Riyadh from March 4 to 7, 2024.

Under this agreement, Zain KSA will organize training courses for both male and female students at Al Yamamah University. Additionally, the company will offer trainees valuable on-the-job training experiences, enabling them to acquire crucial job skills within a real-world work environment. This initiative aims to equip students with a strong foundation for a successful career, empowering them to make meaningful contributions to the Kingdom's overall development. Furthermore, Al Yamamah University will also provide training programs for Zain KSA employees, focusing on leadership skills development, postgraduate studies, and executive programs.

Commenting on this collaboration, Loluwah Saad Alnowaiser, Vice President of Human Resources at Zain KSA, emphasized the company's dedication to cultivating national talents capable of leading Saudi Arabia's digital transformation. Alnowaiser highlighted the strategic importance of partnerships with key development entities within the Kingdom to optimize value creation and achieve significant impact across all organizational levels. This approach is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, particularly emphasizing Human Capacity Development.

Zain KSA's commitment to talent development is further underscored by its recent recognition with the HRSD Labor Award for ICT Talent Localization. The company is actively engaged in training 50,000 young Saudi men and women through the "Wad" initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources, thereby promoting training within the private sector. With a track record of successful training and development initiatives, Zain KSA continues to offer diverse courses and programs tailored to the ICT sector, contributing significantly to the advancement of local talent in the digital landscape.
