Leading digital service provider Zain KSA recently established a Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") with Cisco to work together on the development of network automation and service orchestration. The goal of this collaboration is to enhance network service outcomes. During its attendance at Mobile World Congress (MWC23), which took place in Barcelona from February 27 to March 3, the MoU was signed.
With the help of sophisticated automation tools, Zain KSA and Cisco hope to simplify day-to-day network operations, such as maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing the system, in order to support the Kingdom's digital transformation and give the community access to a more convenient mobile lifestyle using cutting-edge technologies. This will position Zain KSA as the community's top digital partner.
Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Mufadda, chief technology officer at Zain KSA, commented on the MoU by saying: "The expansion of the use of 5G technologies, the significant increase in networked devices, and the increasing consumption of content services have led to increasing pressure on networks, and our cooperation with Cisco is an important step to keep pace with this development and accelerate the digital transformation journey. According to him, "This MoU is in line with our strategy to innovate, deliver integrated digital experiences to our customers, and enhance their experiences across the Kingdom, accelerating the realization of Saudi Vision 2030's goals."
