Riyadh, February 11, 2024, The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has successfully intercepted an illegal smuggling attempt involving 1,683,000 Captagon pills concealed within a truck entering the Kingdom via the Al-Haditha border crossing.

Authorities discovered the illicit drugs cunningly hidden inside the compartments of the truck's tires. Collaborating closely with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, ZATCA aims to safeguard societal security and protect the national economy from the detrimental effects of drug trafficking.

To engage the public in the fight against smuggling and uphold societal well-being, ZATCA encourages individuals to report any suspicious activities through various channels. These include contacting the authority's dedicated security hotline at 1910, reaching out via email to [email protected], or utilizing the international number 00966114208417. Informants can rest assured that their identities will remain confidential, and if the provided information proves accurate, they may receive a financial reward as a token of appreciation for their assistance in combatting smuggling and upholding the law.
