Riyadh, November 06, 2023, The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has issued a reminder to business sector taxpayers in the Kingdom who are subject to withholding tax (WHT). They are urged to promptly submit their tax returns for October by no later than November 12, 2023, to avoid incurring a 1% fine for unpaid taxes, which accrues every 30 days following the due date.
To facilitate this process, taxpayers can conveniently file their tax returns through the authority's website, accessible at https://zatca.gov.sa/en/pages/default.aspx.
In an effort to provide additional guidance and support to taxpayers in the business sector seeking more information about WHT, ZATCA encourages them to reach out through various communication channels. These channels include the call center's unified number, 19993, which operates around the clock, the X account @Zatca_Care, email at [email protected], or instant chat through ZATCA's website, zatca.gov.sa.
WHT, or withholding tax, is a regulation in the Kingdom designed to deduct a specific tax amount from the total income of non-resident entities providing services within the Kingdom. The tax rates are stipulated in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
