Riyadh, March 3, 2024, The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) successfully foiled two attempts to smuggle over 63,000 Captagon pills concealed within two vehicles attempting to enter the Kingdom through the Al-Haditha border crossing.
According to the authority, the first attempt involved 41,279 Captagon pills, while the second involved 22,000 pills. Swift coordination between ZATCA and the General Directorate of Narcotics Control resulted in the apprehension of five individuals who were anticipating the narcotics.
ZATCA remains steadfast in its commitment to bolster customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, taking a strong stance against smuggling attempts. This collaborative effort with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control is aimed at ensuring the security and protection of society.
