ZATCA Urges Taxpayers to File WHT Returns for July

Withholding Tax (WHT) is a regulation in the Kingdom that requires the withholding of a tax from the total income of non-resident establishments providing services within the Kingdom, with specific rates outlined in the Income Tax Law and its Implementing Regulations.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has informed taxpayers from the Kingdom's business sector about the deadline to submit their tax returns for the month of July by August 11, 2024.

Taxpayers in the Kingdom's business sector have been notified by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) of the August 11, 2024, deadline for submitting their July tax returns.


By completing their returns online or getting in touch with ZATCA, taxpayers can avoid a 1% penalty for overdue taxes.


The Income Tax Law and its Implementing Regulations specify the particular rates for the Withholding Tax (WHT), a rule in the Kingdom that mandates the withholding of a tax from the entire income of non-resident establishments offering services within the Kingdom.



August 6, 2024, in Riyadh. All taxpayers from the Kingdom's business sector who are obligated to pay Withholding Tax (WHT) have been notified by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) that they have until August 11th, 2024, to submit their tax returns for the month of July.By doing this on the authority's website, http://zatca.gov.sa, taxpayers can save a 1% penalty for overdue taxes every thirty days following the deadline.ZATCA recommends that taxpayers in the business sector who would like additional information about WHT get in touch with the authority via the X account @Zatca_Care, the unified call center number 19993, which is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, an email to [email protected], or instant chat on the ZATCA website at http://zatca.gov.sa.WHT, one of the Kingdom's regulations, mandates that a tax be withheld from the whole revenue of non-resident establishments that offer services inside the Kingdom. The rates for this tax are set forth in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
