Harare, October 10, 2023, Zimbabwe's Foreign Affairs Minister, Frederick Shava, has voiced his country's support for Saudi Arabia's bids to host Expo 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup. He also welcomed the upcoming inaugural Saudi-African Summit, set for November in Saudi Arabia, and confirmed the attendance of Zimbabwe's President at the summit.
These affirmations were made during a meeting between Minister Shava and Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, in Harare. After the meeting, Al-Jubeir expressed Saudi Arabia's gratitude for Zimbabwe's support and committed to bolstering relations across various sectors between the two friendly nations.
